The Story
A bronzed and gilt-iron mirror frame, forged to simulate carved-wood “linenfold” panelling or lignum undulatum (Latin for wavy wood), a decorative mechanism that became widespread across Northern Europe in the 14th to 16th centuries. The artists’ homage to heritage craftsmanship and the ancient charm that pervades innumerable period buildings and antique furnishings that have inspired their practice.
