The Story
Inspired by naturalistic grottoes of Renaissance Italy and in particular the fantastical Buontalenti Grotto in The Boboli Gardens, Florence (1557-1587). The rusticated surface of this lamp was sculpted in clay by the artists and cast in Herculite, a hard and durable plaster.
