The Story
In designing the large Ferro lantern, the artist drew initial inspiration from Alberto Giacometti's dynamic, observational ink drawings of figures and objects in space. The integral studio-blown glass cube is enveloped in a hand-forged iron strapwork while a myriad of bubbles in the glass refract light from a discrete source at the top of each lantern.
