The Story
This large, studio-blown, clear glass shade, suspended on bronzed metalwork, was commissioned for Kinross House. Designed by Robert Bruce in 1685, Kinross is one of Britains most celebrated country Houses and described by Daniel Defoe (author of Robinson Crusoe) as "the most beautiful and regular pieces of architecture in Scotland".
