The Story
This unique table, sculpted by the artist in her London studio, was inspired by archaeological elements excavated at Pompeii. The restrained and primitive trunk is cast in bronze, with branches reaching upward, almost serpent-like, to clasp an oval tabletop made of Stoneycombe limestone, characterised by soft pinks and light reds, found on the south coast of Devon, England. The stepped oval base on four bun feet, is cast in solid iron to anchor this tall and elegant side table.
