The Story

The lily pad's association with water symbolises emotional depth and introspection in art. In Eastern traditions, particularly Japanese woodblock prints, lily pads represent purity and enlightenment, the lotus flower rising beautifully from muddy waters. The Lily Pad console table is a sculptural representation of these themes, drawn by the artist and expertly hand-formed in the Cox's London forge. The elegant iron-work composition of lilies and blooms rises up towards the water-like surface of an Eramosa Onyx top.
