The Story
A forged iron coffee table of restrained design, owing its origin in part to the prominent British architect Edward Godwin. Godwin (1833-1886) was known for his innovative "Anglo-Japanese" furniture designs and credited with introducing modern design principles and a fresh aesthetic to furniture making in the late 19th century. The table's iron-work structure showcases a continuous forged bark pattern, elegant drop-forged feet, and an offset stretcher. The corners have been thoughtfully rounded for both aesthetic impact and practicality, making it easier to navigate your living space. Finished with a rich dark bronze patina and clear low-iron glass top, this table serves as a discreet yet strong anchor in almost any design scheme.
